June stats

Favourite book: Romancing the Duke - Tessa Dare ( 4.5 stars)

The Scarecrow King: A Romantic Retelling of the King Thrushbeard Fairy Tale - Jill Myles and The Vanishing Season - Jodi Lynn Anderson ( 3.5 Stars)

A Perfect Blood (The Hollows, #10) - Kim Harrison ( 3 stars)

Twixt Firelight and Water - Juliet Marillier  and Carswell's Guide to Being Lucky - Marissa Meyer (2.5 Stars)

Shaman Rises (The Walker Papers) - C.E. Murphy  ( 2 Stars)

Truth Within Dreams - Elizabeth Boyce ( 1.5 Star - novella)

Valentine - Heather Grothaus ( 1 Star - DNF)

The Meeting - Richelle Mead ( 3 pages -_- )

10 books read. If one can call some of them books.

Not a good reading month.

Richelle Mead's The Meeting short, was just a tiny little episode. And I pretty much hated it, because I honestly didn't need to "see" Dimitry ogling the girl.

Heather Grothaus's "Valentine" ( it serves me well for requesting a title due to its cover) ended up being a DNF at 36 % because everything in it was draining my will to read it.

Elizabeth Boyce's  novella "Truth Within Dreams"

Second book I've read by this author, and as things are working out, probably my last.

I like humorous, but I have no patience for ridicule plots.

C.E. Murphy's  "Shaman Rises"

The final book in the Walker Papers series left a sour taste in my mouth. I was hoping for so much more from it, and ended up getting the same old things.

"Twixt Firelight and Water"  by Juliet Marillier

A couple years back I used to love everything this author would write, but when she started writing YA things started losing some its dark charm.

The same thing happened with this one.

"Carswell Guide to Being Lucky" by Marissa Meyer

A little about Thorne's growing pains and what motivates him.

*short story

Kim Harrison's "A Perfect Blood" ( The Hollows series #9)

Another case in which I love the characters, but the plot sometimes can be so tiresome. Especially Ivy's and Rachel's troublesome relationship -_-

Jill Myles, The Scarecrow King

Not mind shattering but a pleasant retelling nevertheless.

Jody Lynn Anderson, The Vanishing Season

Well written and left me wondering what was going to happen next.

Different for certain, I don't think I will forget it so soon.

Tessa Dare, Romancing The Duke ~favourite book read in June~

A silly romantic comedy that left me with a smile on my face.
